I updated a couple of weeks late for my 14 month update, but there are some new things going on with Cam at 15 months.
-Naps once a day but lately he has fallen asleep in the car in the morning if we are out running errands
-Wears size 4 diapers
-Wears 12-18 month shorts and can fit into 18-24 month shirts
-Has cut 8 teeth in the last 3 months and I'm pretty sure he's getting his top canine teeth now... He's been a mess, let me tell you. He currently has 10 teeth (6 on top, 4 on the bottom)
-Is communicating better after the brief hiatus:
-Says "up" for up, open and help
-Is repeating more words than before. Yesterday he told Roxy to sit. He attempted to say Mimi today (sounds like a combination of Mimi and Mama). He says "this" and "that" and points to many things he wants. He's also has said Kaden (Dayden) when asked. It's for sure coming along and much better than a month ago.
-He signs a bit still (more, crackers, milk and I've seen him do water once or twice).
-Is walking pretty much 100% of the time. Thank goodness.
-Has continued to eat better. His favorite foods include crackers, spinach patties, chicken patties, blueberries, grapes, watermelon, corn, peas (depending on his mood), bagels with cream cheese, grilled cheese and anything in a snack trap
-Loves the bath and does a great job of tilting his head back to wash out the shampoo
-Still claps for himself and when you say yay
-Loves waving bye to anyone that is leaving
-Likes to give Roxy her biscuit when she gets in her crate.
-Understands a lot of what we say
-Still LOVES being out of the house. He rarely cries when we are out of the house but gets bored easily at home
-Has a new pantry game where he scoops dog food and takes a few pieces out and back in. Today he put a few of these pieces in his mouth. Yum.
-Is still pretty attached to me and it's gotten only sightly better since he started walking
-Sniffs Slone when he needs to calm down
-Loves being outside
-Loves the pool
-Sticks his mouth in the water and blows bubbles
-Is so relaxed on a raft or floating on his back in the pool. He closes his eyes and doesn't move for minutes!
-Is still rear facing in the car and isn't complaining about it
-Climbs on anything and everything
-Can walk up the stairs holding on to the rail
-Can crawl down the stairs backwards with LOTS of cues to keep going. He likes to stop after each step and turn around to see if he's at the bottom.
-Loves us to read to him and we have to read Pajama Time every day before nap and every night before bed
-Puts his hands on his head during Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes and puts his hands on his eyes during the appropriate part
-Loves to golf and walk around with the golf clubs. Also likes to walk around with the Swiffer duster.
-Wants to play with whatever Kaden is playing with
-Has so much fun with Kaden- they laugh so much together
-Barks at the stuffed dogs whenever we walk past the gift shop at the JCC
-Still has a cute little farmer's tan. He's a little brown bear.

Kaden started camp last Wednesday. I tried to upload some pictures from their website but it wouldn't let me copy them... darn! It looks like they are having a great time. Kaden had a little bit of a rough first day or two as far as the pool goes. He was pretty nervous in the pool this year and many of the other kids in his class are definitely not nervous! I spied on them the 2nd day of camp and Kaden was crying out at the pool and it looked like he didn't want to get in. The camp director was encouraging him and by the end of the session he was in the water, being held by one of the lifeguards. We spend most of last week in the Miller's pool and I'm happy to report that he is doing much better. He's holding his breath, going under the water, jumping in with the noodle, jumping in without the noodle and using a kick board. He's got a long way to go, but our first goal was to get him more comfortable in the water and I think it's working so far. The other issue he had with camp was music. Kaden HATES loud noises and gets scared easily. Apparently every morning they have music and singing, and the teacher who leads this uses a microphone and an amplifier! Woah. After returning to the classroom the first 2 days crying, Nic and I decided to send him with earplugs. We are not sure if his ears actually hurt or if he just gets scared, but the earplugs are working great and he is able to participate in music without any issues. Whoo hoo! Being back on a schedule is working well for Kaden too, and he's been listening better than he was earlier in the summer. Cam and I are going to work out and finding some things to do, just the 2 of us, which is really nice!
