15 months

Ryane Cate... quite the little stinker this month!

Ryane wears size 4 diaper. She fits best into 18-24 month clothes

Naps.... naps... naps.... I don't even know what to say about naps this month.  They aren't going well.  She was skipping her afternoon nap quite regularly and the last week she has been skipping her morning nap.  I'm thinking I need to go down to one nap a day but I'm still trying to figure out how this can happen with the boys' school schedules. 

Ryane has been sleeping better during the night but has been waking up EARLY.  I might be delirious right now.

Ryane throws her stuffed animals overboard multiple times during the day before she will fall asleep. And she won't fall asleep without Lucy... so I've been getting a good leg workout lately. 

Ryane has a few new words:

*bye (said in a southern accent)

*ahs (ohs- like cheerios)

*bit (sit)

*bate (crate)

*eease (please)

She is saying a lot of words that I don't know what they mean... and that frustrates the snot out of her

 

Ryane says what a dog says, a cat, a pig and a lion.

 

She knows where her head is, her nose, her mouth, her eyes, ears and feet

 

Says "eee" or "meee" when you ask her silly questions like who is my sweetest little seal, who is my funniest little fish, etc.

I am nursing once in the morning and plan to be done during daylight savings

Ryane

*took about 8 steps and now WILL NEVER WALK AGAIN.  Not kidding.  I'm not sure if she scared herself or wasn't ready or what... but this was several weeks ago and she won't take any steps now.

*will walk holding one hand

*still gives you a little smile when you tell her to stand up and she slowly slithers down to her hands and knees

She had a Physical Therapy evaluation.  Yes, I took her to PT.  Basically she passed the evaluation with flying colors and did really well with the therapist... Until the therapist made a big deal about her walking and then Ryane completely shut down, cried and wouldn't walk at all after that!  The therapist said that all of her movements and sensations were normal and she could get to the positions she needed the correct way.  And that the not walking appears to be a little bit behavioral and I'll have to figure out a way to get her to walk by motivating her (bribing) without her realizing.  Like I wasn't already doing that.... If she is still not walking at 18 months (oy!) I need to take her back in!

 

Ryane gives really good hugs and kisses

She loves to cook in her play kitchen, especially if Kaden is playing with her

She is obsessed with making a mess.  She takes items out of all the cabinets that the safety locks don't work quite right.  She loves to take out cotton balls, q-tips, tampon, teeth whitening strips, etc.

 

Ryanes loves to brush her teeth

Ryane asks for Lucy when she's upset

She loves to put on accessories- scarves, bracelets, necklaces, metals, hair ties -

Ryane loves to hear Nic's voice when the voicemail goes off

She still plays by herself pretty well but prefers for someone to play with her

Ryane is a climber!  She can climb on the the couch by herself (but can't get down)

She loves to climb into and sit in small chairs, and she is quite proud of herself when she does

Ryane still loves to take a bath with her brothers and her and Cam usually play together in the tub (and by play together I mean that Cam pours water on her and laughs and then she splashes him and laughs)

Ryane has thrown a couple of tantrums lately (throwing herself back or onto the floor) but can be redirected pretty easily

She can EAT and doesn't turn down much food.  Her newest favorite is pieces of butternut squash.  She loves using a fork and spoon and won't eat yogurt unless she feeds herself.

She's obsessed with helping me empty the dishwasher. She has supersonic hearing and whenever she hears me open it, she is practically inside, handing me plates and dishes.

Happy 15 months, crazy girl!!

I feel like I need to caption this "Pinterest fail," but it's not too bad! 

Ryane got her 15 month shots the morning of the photo shoot so she was a little clingy. She lasted through the first few shots but wasn't having it at the end.

Sweet love bugs... 

Daddy

After seeing all the pictures on Facebook of little girls going to a Daddy/Daughter dance, I can not wait to see the glow on Ryane's face when she gets to go with her Daddy! 

She loves that guy!

Cows

Yesterday Cam and I were cleaning up the game room when he picked up a little cow and said:

"Mommy, did you know that cows poop pigs? Ya see? Right here? He's pooping out a pig!"

I explained the utter phenomenon to him and looked over. He was squeezing the utters saying, "See, nothing is happening!" 

After a few minutes he had found the pig that goes with the set and was matching it up with the utters. 

The whole conservation really got me thinking about how different Kaden and Cam are from each other. Kaden would have looked at the cow and asked a million questions about what the utters are, how they work, etc. Cam gets an idea in his head and that's the way it is! 

I'm still cracking up thinking about his raspy little voice saying that cows poop pigs.
