A 9 month old and a funny kid

Cam is 9 months old today. He had his appointment today and is:
29 1/2 inches long (85th percentile)
20 pounds, 10 ounces (55th percentile)

Cam has been BUSY the past month and I now call him my little troublemaker! He is quick and into everything. By the time you open the fridge and take something out, he's inside. He loves to stand up at shelves and take every last thing off.

At 9 months, Cam:
-Naps only twice per day. We dropped the 3rd nap when he started waking up too early
-Still wears size 3 diapers
-Wears 6-12 month pants and can fit into 12-18 month shirts
-Still has only 2 bottom teeth but acts like he's getting some more. The doctor said he didn't see any close yet...
-Is doing better when it's nap time and loves to snuggle with his sleep sack when we get into his room
-Signs "more" accurately and effectively!
-Has tried all veggies and most fruits. Will start on some yogurt this week!
-Loves cereal puffs and can pick them up from the tray and feed himself
-Crawls everywhere FAST
-Can pull himself up on anything except a wall
-Got his video monitor moved up high since I found it in his crib during one of his naps!
-Cruises around furniture like no body's business
-While standing, he lets go with one hand often. This happens mostly when he wants to walk somewhere and waits for you to hold out your hands so he can grab on.
-Likes to walk around holding on to your hands
-Takes a big boy bath with Kaden every night. He typically spends the entire bath with a yellow frog in one hand and kicking his feet so fast!
-Loves being wrapped up in his towel after the bath
-Has stood up on his own for up to 5 seconds
-Is talking more and more each day. He's now full of "baba" "dada" and "mama" but still mostly talks when Kaden isn't around.
-He can repeat a "baba" etc when asked
-He eagerly goes to family when they hold out their hands for him
-He smiles and laughs more now than ever before -He is so proud of himself when he does something new
-He LOVES Uncle Eric... Like stares at him whenever he is holding him, hugs him and kisses him
-Hates his winter jacket. It's very, very puffy. If I put him in it and put him down, he won't sit up. He lays completely still when it's on.
-Has so many nicknames: Cam, Cambone, Bean, Beanie, Cambonezies, Beanalicious, Beanie Baby, Stink... The list goes on and on!

Kaden... he's my goof ball. I love him so much and he says some funny stuff!

Nic was getting him into the car and put his diet coke on top of the car. Kaden asked, "Daddy, is that going to blow away?" Nic told him that it weighed enough that it wouldn't fly away, just like how he wouldn't fly away because he weights enough. Kaden thought a minute and said, "I don't have wings...."

During the "artic blast" :) Kaden wanted to play outside. It was really cold and Nic kept asking him if he wanted to come inside. Kaden kept telling him no. Finally out of nowhere, Kaden started crying, "Daddy, my hands are cold.... I want to go inside..." Then acting scared that Nic would want to stay outside, "Do you want to go inside?"

Kaden, doing the sign for cereal, "Cam... do you want (says this very slowly) cee-row? Cee-row??..."

I was scrolling down the page on Facebook and there was a picture of our old realtor as a suggested friend. Kaden said, "That lady the same lady on our refrigerator."

First snow 2011

We had a beautiful snow here yesterday and Nic and I were excited for Cam to see his very first snow! Neither of us remember getting snow like this when we were kids and it's so wonderful to be able to watch Kaden get so excited about it!

Sweet boys

I was getting Cam ready for his nap when Kaden nuzzled his head into Cam's face. Cam doesn't laugh out loud very often and I thought this was too cute not to post. It's evident they adore each other :)

2011

I have to admit that I am a bit sad to leave 2010 behind. We were so blessed with the arrival of Cam and being able to watch Kaden become a big boy before our eyes!

It's amazing to think that in 2010 Cam went from growing in my belly to crawling all over the house and getting himself into all kinds of trouble.

Kaden had a very big year. Not only did he become a big brother but he gave up his pacifiers, went from a crib to a toddler bed and eventually a full size bed, became potty trained, and warmed our hearts all year with his sweet manners and his hilarious comments!

With that said, I look forward to 2011 and all the surprises it has in store for our family. I know that these two boys will continue to make Nic and I smile every single day.
