Poetic Exposure

We had Kaden's newborn pictures done by Poetic Exposure and wanted the same look for Cam's! Here is a preview of some of the pictures- we will get the rest in a few weeks!






Cam had his 2 week doctor's appointment today and is doing well!
He weighs 8 pounds, 9.5 ounces (up 10 ounces from one week ago!!) and is 21 1/4 inches long. Since he has gained enough weight, we can start trying to stretch him to 3 hours between day time feedings and 3-4 hours at night (although he may be able to go longer than that at night- I've been waking him up every 3 hours to eat almost every night). Kaden is adjusting well to the baby and is very interested in all of his squeaking and funny baby noises. All in all, things are going well and I love being a mommy to 2 little boys!

Homecoming

The OB and the pediatrician came by early this morning and we were out the door by noon today! Cam had an easy ride home in his new car seat and slept the whole way. Cam was a trooper as we showed him his new room and introduced him to his new home with all his family, including his pups. Kaden is starting to warm back up to Mommy (I think he might be a little mad at me... but I'm trying to be understanding!) and is napping as we speak. Here are some pictures of the beginning of our journey at home as a family of 4!

But for now we are having a great time getting to know Cam. He is so sweet! For the most part, Cam is sleeping much of the day and night, waking up about every 3 hours to eat. He has quickly learned how to nurse and is definitely very vocal when it's time. One of the baby nurses told us he is the loudest baby in the nursery! He loves to snuggle and spend time being held by all his family, especially his big brother. Kaden LOVES to hold Cam and doesn't like to share him with anyone else. While he's holding him, he kisses his forehead and sings to him. He's already a great big brother!

Nursery

We just recently got the baby nursery together...and it's still not quite done! It's amazing how many months before Kaden was born that we had his room set up and ready for him.... and how we are just now getting everything together for this one!

We had John at Be-Dazzled paint the mural and we LOVE it!! It's definitely my favorite room in the house. The glider is amazing but it's not in the room quite yet... It's in our room for now until we transition upstairs. The bedding is perfect and just what I had imagined. :) I'm a tough customer...
