17 months

Wow- that past month flew by.  Apparently Cam is 17 months old now!

Cam continues to live up to his nickname, "Trouble" and is getting such a funny personality!  At 17 months, Cam:

-Still naps for anywhere between 1.5 and 3 hours.  He has had a couple of days where he took a siesta in the car and then won't take a nap... those are difficult afternoons.

-Still wears size 4 diapers

-Is wearing 18-24 month tops and bottoms.  We put him in long pants for the first time and the 24 month ones are LONG

-Has 12 teeth and is drooling like more are coming
-Starting yelling, "Mama?" when he wants my attention because he wants something...  It's pretty cute.
-Has several new words including: hot (ot), Dora (Dada or Doda), down (doh), car (cah), tickle (he's actually said this one for awhile), Ipad (pah), Mimi (mama), bus (dus), Slone (das), pig (something along the lines of pig but can't think of how exactly he says it), kitty (diddy), bath (dath)
-Is attempting jumping and bounced a little on a trampoline by himself

-Wants everything Kaden has.  If Kaden has water, Cam wants water; If Kaden has a snack, Cam wants a snack; If Kaden is done eating, Cam is done eating. 

-Can play upstairs with Kaden now by themselves with Kaden checking in with me every couple of minutes.  This is a BIG deal for me because I can actually get a few things done when he is playing.  When he's downstairs, he gets into EVERYTHING!
-Laughs whenever he eats something sweet (frozen yogurt, cake, etc.)
-Still signs every once in a while- especially for milk, water, yogurt and all done.

-Laughs when he gets in trouble.  Trouble I tell ya!
-His smile makes you forget that he was just supposed to be in trouble
-Loves to hand Kaden his stuff.  For example, Cam was getting his sippy cup out of the diaper bag and took one out and turns to me.  I tell him that one is Kaden's.  He goes and gives it to Kaden before he gets his out.

-Loves the Ipad.  His favorite games are bowling and a shape matching game.  He always brings me the Ipad to help him with the shape matching game. 
-Always asks me to sing him "Dus" aka Wheels on the Bus when I'm rocking him to sleep

-Likes the part of Wheels on the Bus when the babies cry and when the mamas say "shh."  He puts his finger to his mouth and says "shh shh shh."
-Is better about being dropped off at daycare if they occupy him right away.  Still blows kisses to the ladies when I pick him up

-Still rides in the car rear facing although when we were in Kentucky over the weekend he rode forward facing.  Seems not to mind facing back.
-Understands a lot of what we tell him.
-Gets frustrated when we don't understand him but is good about pointing or showing us.  When he wants to brush his teeth he points to his teeth and tries to say teeth.  He points at a lot of things and says "dis" or "dat"
-Still makes the most awful noise when someone is trying to take something from him
-Started Mommy and Me and the J and did so well!  He participated in everything and had a blast.  He even blew Cynthia a kiss when he saw her later that day
-Started Gymboree and loved it.  Even participated in the parachute!  (Something Kaden has never done!!)
-Is still pretty attached to me but is starting to think his Daddy is cool too. 
-Loves to be chased around
-Loves to dance

-Loves to run around in circles following others.  Our nieces have horses on a stick and Grammie put hers between he legs and started galloping around.  Kaden put his between his legs and started galloping.  Cam put a broom between his legs and started running around.  He didn't want to stop!
-Has a new appreciation for the toy vacuum and the swiffers
-Walks up and down the stairs holding on to the rail by himself

-Throws Slone and his polar bear over the crib several times after I lay him down in his crib.  He only stops when I leave the room
-Loves books, especially Trucks and a Crayola picture book
-Is a dare devil and wants to try everything
-Bumps his head a million times a day
-Loves to play with all the toys when we are waiting for Kaden to be done with school but gets so excited when I tell him it's time to get Kaden
-Loves guitars
-Loves Harley (our cat)
-Gives great kisses and leans his head into Kaden to get a kiss from him
-Stands at the bottom of the stairs every night after dinner and says/signs bath
-Makes cute faces at himself when he looks at himself in the mirror
-Wants to brush his teeth all day... with toothpaste.  He gets upset if  you hand him the toothbrush with no toothpaste
-Throws his food over the tray when he's done
-He's such a sweet, crazy mess!  Love him to pieces!!
