Holiday Plates

Here are the plates I was busy with this holiday season!! Many I did were for my family!

No means no!!

I think Kaden knows what no means... he just doesn't care to listen!! He has become obsessed with the dogs' water bowls and since we have 2 dogs, there is twice the opportunity to get in trouble! He wanders to one, gets told "no" and then he is off to the next! This, just after taking all of the bags out of the pantry- boy am I pooped!!

Kaden's favorite new things

Kaden has several new places in the house that he LOVES including the dog crates, the dog bowls and the pantry! He also loves playing with Josh, his dogs and playing with bubbles!

Josh's First Birthday

What an awful aunt!! I have been meaning to post pictures from Josh's first birthday party and I have been so busy with painting that I have hardly had any time to do anything else!

Nic, Kaden, Mom, Paul and I took a quick trip down to Austin last Friday and stayed till Saturday afternoon. Josh had a great birthday party and I was so thankful we could be there to celebrate with him.

Happy 9 months!

Today Kaden is 9 months old. He had his 9 month doctor appointment today which went well. The doctor was happy with his gross and fine motor milestones, and Kaden was very happy and personable at the appointment today!! He got his 2nd flu shot and we should be good on shots for another 3 months.

Kaden weighs 21 lbs, 6 oz (65th percentile) and is 29 1/8 inches long (80th percentile). I have a feeling he is going to be tall and slim like the Miller family!

Wii Night

Nic and I hosted Wii night last night!! I wish I would have taken pictures... it was hysterical! My mom, Paul, Bill and Robin came over last night for a spaghetti dinner and to hang out with the little buggyboo. And after he went to bed, it was time for some Wii fun (and some martini fun, I might add). We all bowled to get warmed up and then it was time for some outdoor adventure. It was a great time and we hope to make it a monthly event!

Tomorrow is Kaden's 9 month appointment and his 9 month birthday. I am amazed at what a baby can accomplish in 9 months... or even in 2 weeks. I was telling Nic that Miss Kelly is going to be shocked to see Kaden on Wednesday. 2 weeks ago he was army crawling. Today he is taking a lot of strides on his hands and knees, he is pulling up on EVERYTHING in sight, he is starting to cruise and he is a complete and total handful! Good luck Miss Kelly!

Another bump

I think I am going to have the "banged up" kid... He constantly hits his forehead on everything!! He has bumps, bruises, scratches and scrapes and it's so embarrassing! It seems like even if I am sitting with him, playing with him, he still manages to hurt himself. And I feel awful, but I'm not the, "Oh, are you okay?" type of mom... I am more the "It's going to be okay, shake it off!" type of mom. I guess that's good... I don't want him to be 15 and still coming crying to me because he banged his head!! I can't leave him anymore at all because he pulls himself up on EVERYTHING. Today I had to bring him into the bathroom with me, which was quite interesting- He was eyeing the toilet cleaner but I somehow managed to keep him away. One of Kaden's favorite activities is to look out the window. Today I opened the blinds in our living room and he could look out the window and the door. I think he was in heaven crawling back and forth between the two! The dogs needed to go out and he was cracking up watching them outside. He is so funny...
